Vegan Pesto

Ingredients
  

  • 1-2 cups fresh basil option to add spinach/arugal
  • 1/2 cup extra virgin olive oil
  • 1/4 cup pine nuts sub walnuts
  • 1 fresh squeezed lemon juice could use tangerine
  • 1/4 cup nutritional yeast or a high quality hard cheese
  • 1 tsp salt

Notes

Ingredients:
  • 1/2 cup extra virgin olive oil
  • 1 fresh squeezed lemon juice could use tangerine 
  • 1-2 cups fresh basil or option to add spinach/arugula measure equal parts
  • 1/4 cup pine nuts sub walnuts 
  • 1-2 garlic cloves minced
  • 1/4 cup nutritional yeast or a high quality parmesan cheese
  • 1 tsp salt 
 
Directions:
Mince the garlic
In a food processor place the wet ingredients in first, then the greens, nuts, cheese and salt. Pulse for 1 mins stop and scrap sides down to the bottom pulse again 1 min, continue until you reach desired consistency
 
Top over your favorite pasta, fish or meat
